Hi,
I would like to be able to identify my ONT. I have access to the basement of my apartment building but there are 2 separate boxes as my neighbors below me also use FIOS.
I'm looking to install a UPS so I have more time with internet access in case the power goes out, and I'd rather not backup the other unit or figure out which unit is my by trial and error. Is there any way to figure this out by serial number?
plug a phone into the test port of each ont, and Call 804-222-1111. It will answer and provide you your Caller ID number.

Hello,
If you contact Verizon's Technical Support department, the technical representative can provide the serial number of your ONT to determine which ONT in the basement belongs to you.
Also, let Technical Support know of what you're intending to do -- attaching a UPS to the ONT -- so that you can be given some additional guidance on the set-up.
You can reach Verizon's Technical Support at this number: 1-888-553-1555.
Also, please see the following threads for added insights on using a UPS vs generator vs alternative power supply for the ONT:
