NAS drive for additional DVR capacity?
rmorgan1016

Hello,

I have the Motorola 7232-P2 HD DVR. It has an Ethernet port on the back. Can I connect this box to my home network and access the NAS drive on that same network for additional DVR capacity?

I do see the instructions for an external eSATA drive, but would rather use some existing capacity if possible; my NAS drive has 1.5TB of free space.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The USB port is not currently enabled, although it does provide power to charge or run USB-powered devices (e.g., an IR extender).   There has been talk from time to time that the port will be enabled in future IMG software updates.  You will have to employ a eSata drive to increase capacity.
