New guide locking up

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm currently DVRing some shows and it won't let me exit the guide screen. The same thing happened yesterday and the only way to fix it was to turn off the box. Unfortunately I'm recording shows for the next hour.

I assure you its not the remote. I put fresh batteries in to be sure.

We have also had this happen.  The only way to fix it was to turn off the set top box.
