Port Forwarding Help please

Hello,

I am able to set a port forwarding on my primary machine with no problem. When I try to set up a port forwarding on my sons machine so he can set up a small minecraft server it will not connect. It pings it okay but can't get his machine toconnect. What do I have to do?
