After 4 hours of work, I learned that the Verizon FIOS router does not support repeater.
Does the upgrader the solution for extneding the coverage of Fios router, like
TRENDnet 300 Mbps Wireless Easy-N-Upgrader?

anyone has successful experience, before throwing $45 bucks?
thank you! Verizon should have a Q & A page for compatible device list for their soso G-router...!!
Your solution is to call Verizon and request an "N" band router that has half again more signal power of the "G" router that you have. This would solve your issue if signal power is the problem. You must have an "N" band adapter card in your machine to receive it.
