The Sony device shows successful wifi connection to FIOS router but no network connection. How does this happen? Thinking of streaming Netflix.
Hi bray9,
What device? You said the Sony device shows that it's connected. When you check your Verizon router configuration page, does the device show up under "My Network"?
I too have various Sony products connected to FiOS.
I've given my devices static addresses. I manually set-up the devices with the DNS server setting found on Verizon's router. If memory serves me right you can access these through the advanced set-up within the router.
Remember to use addresses the router can see and that no other devices are using/assigned. Typically, the first DNS server is the gateway with the second being the DNS service of Verizon for your particular locale. Additionally, you'll need to be in the same subnet mask.
