I'm guessing this will delay the roll out on the east coast??
This is why it got pulled from 7 & 8. That's parts of Pa, NJ and De, the strike impacts mostly eastern areas. I believe California and Texas are now coming on line.
It didn't go to 7 & 8 for a different reason but yes overall the strike has an impact going forward.
They say a different reason without stating what that different reason is. Network maintenance or technical difficulties is code for they knew a strike was coming and couldn't release this to an area just before a strike, the calls would have cripled them.
Ecspecially since there were only supposed to be 30,000 workers going on strike. And last I heard it was 45,000 workers that went on strike. devasted them completely I would imagine. Futher delaying the 1.9a release into the markets of the NE.

Yes
When wil the strike be over?
@ JoeA:
What is the problem rate for units you update to IMG 1.9? I know you have millions of them to do across the Verizon Matrix so even a small percent would result in a lot of units needing swapped out/repaired. Are you finding some models have higher failure rates then others or is that not a metric VZ is tracking?
From what I have read it is a major update and a lot of stuff changes.
How many different models do you have to push the update to?
Looking forward to getting it completed in the DC area but I am certain that resolving the contract negotiations with the CWA is probably taking precedence and pushing most projects like this to a delayed completion.
