What is the best way to connect a wired paralell printer to my wireless network WITHOUT using a computer as a printer server. I have an ActinTec router. Will an add-on wireless printer server work. If so, is the setup relatively easy or will I encounter set up problems such as conflicting IP addressed, etc.? Any suggestions about who makes a decent wireless printer server would be greatly appreciated.
A network-connected Print Server would be the best case in your setup. You shouldn't have to worry about anything regarding IP addresses since the Print Servers tend to be rather good DHCP clients. If they don't play nicely with DHCP, setting up Static IPs are not an issue what so ever.
Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156026 should work nicely.
