3360k speeds now stuck at 1500k.

i normally get 1500k speeds, but for the past months or so, i've been getting 3360k speeds and i was pleasebtly surprised. i was actually watching Netflix in HD. unfortunately, my speeds have dropped back down to 1500k and it is stuck at that speed for the past few days.

in fact, i was in a live chat with verizon support yesterday and they said that there was something wrong with my line at the CO and they would have it fixed by 5:00pm today. it is now 6:45pm and they have not fixed the problem.

what do i have to do to get the provisioned optimal rate removed from my line?

If you were at 3Mbps with those stats and were holding it without drops, just get the next person in Verizon who you talk with to turn off the Optimization software and set the line to a 3M profile. If you do it over the phone they can do it right on the spot for you in many cases.
