Does anyone know if Verizon has recently blocked port 548 to incoming traffic? I have recently switched to Verizon DSL from Cablevision, in the first month everything was great, but as of last week I have not been able to connect to my computer over the internet through AFP port 548 (appletalk filing protocol). and yes I am using a dns server to track my ip and yes it is active and correct, and all ports are forwarded properly. net tools are showing that 548 is not accessible (firewall) from the WAN, but it is not firewalled on my end. any one else have this issue?
While I know that you are not on FIOS, but perhaps this might help
Verizon does not block that port.
