1. Is there a contact I can use to send complaint on the awful technical support?
Since I was unable to get by Verizon technical support to reach Actiontec support, I try asking the questions on this forum.
2. If I try to add port forwarding for port 8000, I get "The defined port or port range is in use by another port forwarding or applications rule. You must remove the rule before the new rule can be applied." There is only port 4567 listed in port forwarding.
a. How does one figure what application is using port 8000?
b. How does one remove a rule?

I will take an educated guess: Most likely the app that is using that, is using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) to open ports automatic.
One of the possible fixes is to, disable UPnP.
