I've been a loyal Fios customer for over ten years and I've been happy with the service. However I'm starting to have compatiablity issues with the Actiontec MI424WR. It first started with my Google Pixel 2 (from Verizon wireless) phone where it was dropping the WiFi connection multiple times a day. Now my Xbox One intermittenly won't connect to my WiFi network when I first it turn on. I don't want to have to pay $200 for a Quantum router which is overpriced and unnecessary for my small house. I know I could turn off the wifi on the Actiontec however I don't have space for multiple networking devices where it's located and I'm not sure it will fully resolve my issues. Is there any better option to get an updated WiFi router with Verizon?
The current version of the MI424WR before the Quantum router is the MI424WR Rev i. You could seach for that online. You could get your own router but you need ethernet from the ONT to the router. And if you have TV you also will need a MoCA adapter.
