Hi
Recently switched to Verizon DSL, and my VPN router no longer works.
I have a 2nd router that connects to my company's VPN account in the UK, using a PPTP connection. This has been working fine till I switched to Verizon.
Now when I connect to my 2nd router I am still seeing the Verizon IP address on www.whatismyip.com - where I used to see my company's IP.
How do I set this up to work the way it used to.
I am assuming I need to set up some form of port forwarding or possibly put the 2nd router in the DMZ. But I am a newbie at this type of stuff - so as much detailed help as possible please.....
Service : Verizon HSI
Hardware : Actiontec GT784WNV - Firmware Version: GT784WN-VZ-1.1.6
2nd router : Linksys WRT160N V3
Look forward to some help

I have fixed it!!!! (with a little help from the web)
VPN passthrough is turned off by default on the Actiontec Router - you need to turn it on.
Log into your router
goto "Advanced Setup"
goto "Applications"
select the IP of your other router (the linksys in my case)
select the application category "VPN"
I allowed both types through (PPTP & IPSEC L2TP)
Apply that
Then ensure you other router is "Disabling Packet Reordering" - this one was just systematically turning things on and off.
and Voila!!!
I now have vpn connection

OK - I have been "testing" settings
so I put the Linksys router into the DMZ of the Actiontec...
In this setup the linksys now has no internet connection....
This seems weird to me - do I need to change any setting on the linksys?
I would have thought that by putting the linksys IP in the DMZ i should at least still have internet access on that router - even if it didn't solve my problem.

I believe I have the same issue as you; I also, tried the linksys last week and still I can't connect. I specifically joined in hopes to find someone else with my issue and a resolution. My IT department told me I need to leave Verizon, which made no sense to me. Have you received any solutions? Verizon told me to reset my router.

No replies yet.....
Seems a few people have similar issues - but I can't find any with the actiontec modem/router.
I am hoping one of the verizon techs will step in with some ideas.....
