Adding a Wifi Access Point to a basement router?

I'm getting a new Fios install and want to place the ONT and router in the basement. I'd like to run ethernet from the router upstairs to a WAP.  My question is will the Ethernet run from the router contain power (via POE+) or will I need an injector?

Now all wireless APs use POE. Check the specs before you order it. I use a Ubiquiti AC lite and it did come with the power injector. You can also connect a switch to your router in the basement that has POE ports. The Verizon router if that's what you are using doesn't have POE ports.
