We recently upgraded to 75/75 and got the Quantum Gateway router. We were told that it would solve the problem of no connectivity or slow connectivity on 2 and 3 floor of my home. Never had a problem with previous router until we upgraded to IPhone 8. Thoughts anyone

Are you using 5 ghz or 2.4 ghz to connect on WiFi? At present the 5G is problematic with the Quantum router.
change to 2.4 and see if you can connect.
If the signal is weak, keep your G1100, but add a network extender such as this one: https://www.verizon.com/home/accessories/fios-network-extender
You'll want to make sure that the device is placed off of a Coax outlet so that between the G1100 and the Extender, your entire home is covered with reliable 5Ghz coverage. The 2.4Ghz coverage will fill itself in given that spectrum goes further than 5Ghz (although at less performance).
