Best router/mesh access point with fios?

I have my quantum gateway on the main floor of the house. I have an ethernet wire running from the gateway to the basement to a switch for my desktops. Id like to replce the switch with a mesh wireless router/access point to get stronger wifi signal in the basement. What is the best device i can plug the wthernet wire into in the basement to extend the wifi with same ssid ?

You could get a FiOS network extender from Verizon connect it to your switch in the basement. It will automatically clone the Quantum Gateway router SSID/Password.

You could also get any mesh router but you will have to configure the SSID when setting it up.
