So I have 75mbps Upload/download internet only Fios plan. I had a 74.99 cost for the last year or so, and now they increased it to $99 a month. Is that really the going rate? I am on paperless billing, autopay etc.

The price if under contract or even not under contract have discounts that fall off after year one and then again after year two. So it’s normal.
no one can say what the real price is since Verizon does not use stable pricing across its customer base. If they have broadband or cable competitors then you may see lower prices, in areas where they have little to no competition the prices can be high as a kite flying in the wind.
