In an effort to save the rental fee for the Verizon router, we purchased a new router from Verizon for $149. We've had it installed for about a week and our signal throughout the house is worse than the rental router (that is also 5 years old). Our smart TV no longer consistently connects well to the Internet. The range is worse than the old router. Anyone else have this problem and been able to fix it? This is my last ditch effort before I return it and go back to the 5 year old rental router...
What router did you purchase? The G1100?
Are you using the 5Ghz connection or the 2.4Ghz network? Did you combine both? Is the router set to do Auto Channel Selection or no?
