Cable left running on ground

Just had High Speed internet installed today.  The white cable was left on top of the ground along the side of the house.  Will Verizon cover this cable at a later time?  I'm afraid that it will get damaged by squirrels or lawn mower.

Normally they will come and bury the line in a few days,  But they have been Known to forget to have someone come.  Be sure to follow up with them directly.  And when they do come, if you can, watch to make sure you know where it is buried and that bury it deep enough.
