I have a Windows 2008 server R1. I have had internet access for a couple of years now with no issues. I recently upgraded my Fios router ( from: Westell Ultraline Series3 A90-9100EM15 To: ActionTech MI424-WF) I am now, no longer able to connect to the router, let alone the internet. When I go to network... set up a connection... the only option i get is to connect to broadband via PPPoE. This is asking me to enter a username / password, etc. I found the place on the network configuration section in the router to set this up but I can't get the router to enable it. Infact, when I try, I lose all acces to the router and have to reset it to factory settings to get the rest of my network online. Is this a hardware issue, a verizon service / availablity issue, or is it a user issue; namely me.
Please help. I work from home and I need this server available.

Hi - I see this issue was escalated to our support agents. I'm also going to move this to the proper area within Verizon to make sure you get the right users looking at this.
Thanks,
Heather

Jsut to clarify: Are you able to access the router's Administration UI from a browser on the server itself? If so, that rules out a configuration issue (at least with the type of link) with the computer and the router. Are other computers attached to the router able to get online at the same time? What DNS servers is the Windows Server 2008 machine using?
