I have just recently changed from VZ DSL to VZ FIOS. I had no problems vpning before using prosafe client. My FIOS is CAT5 and not cable. The set-up is VZ FIOS directly to WAN port of Netgear and LAN port from Netgear is connected to WAN port of Actiontec VZ router. Everything works great TV, internet. The VPN will connect but after about 1 minute the connection is lost?
Anybody have any suggestions or is there a post which I have missed?
Thanks
Thanks I tried the suggestions in the links but none seemed to work. I have no problems with the internal network, I can access the internet and all of the VOD and widgets on the set-top box work fine. I just keep getting disconnected when I VPN into the netgear.
I would appreciate any other suggestions because Verizon just told me to optimize my settings using their optimizer and that didn't work either.
Thanks
Thank you,
The office network was originally 192.168.0.1 (starting address). I also tried changing it to 192.168.2.1 (starting address) as per your suggestion, but still no success. The VPN worked fine prior to the switch when we were using verizon DSL with a static IP. The new FIOS system is also on a static IP. It just doesn't make sense why the removing the DSL modem and switching the static IP (to the new FIOS IP address) address would cause this to happen.
Thanks and I am open to other ideas.
