I have a Westell Model 6100F Router for my Verizon DSL service. I have accessed the Verizon router page (http://192.168.1.1) and have tried to access under the quick links section *Enable Applications. When I click on that it wants my user name and password. Problem is I don't remember them. Is there a way to change them or to reset the router? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the default username is "admin" and the default password is "password." Do not enter the quotation marks.
Note: The user name and password are case-sensitive, so be sure to enter them in lower case.
If that doesn't work, then yes you can reset the router to factory defaults and it will let you create a new password. You would just hold in the reset button on the back of the DSL modem for about 15 seconds and let it go.
Just a reminder, the firewall is turned off by default when reset is done.
Question if you have used the save configuration file option, will the saved file be available after reset?
I have been told yes and no, on my 7500, I did save it but got error 7 after attempting to restore it after a reset.
Is there any way to save it to the HD , or Floppy drive , etc ?
Thanks, Jose
Yes - if you save the config file, it gives you an option on where to save it, so you can save to your Hard drive or usb thumb drive etc
