Cannot Access Router Due to Privacy Error

I am getting this..... 

Privacy Error: Your connection is not private.   Impossible to fix the problem if you cannot access the router.  And i don't have 45-90 min to debeug this.  if anyone from verizon is on here, please let me know what you think.

I am so sick of having to play IT manager at my house.

The browser is detecting the self-assigned certificate from the router. For local management purpose, just bypass the warning page by going to Advanced > Go to 192.168.1.1 (unsafe, [not really in LAN]).
