I'm trying to adjust my wireless settings because the computer can't find my printer...I'm unable to connect via usb - my printer is in another room. When I try to load 192.168.1.1 in my browser it does nothing. Just won't load. I can browse the internet with no problem. So why can't I access my router panel?

It could be possible the router's IP address is different. Unless you've logged into it in the past, I would open up a Command Prompt Window (Start > Run > cmd) and run the command: ipconfig.
The IP address for the Default Gateway should be the router. If it is 192.168.1.1, it sounds like the Web server on the modem had locked up. A reboot should solve that for you if you haven't tried that.

But I am having the same problem. Having to reboot every few days is not viable.
