HELLO I need help, i have a older dell 2400 and it was very very slow and i installed a reinstallaton cd alog with the drivers and now i cannot get to the net. I called verizon service and they said it is my computer.When i go to the control panel for network and internet connections an click on set up or change your internet connection ,t hen click on set up it goes to new connection wizard and will not connect, Please help , i am a senior citizen and i am stuck ,thanks jer
1. Do you have a cable running from the laptop to the verizon modem or are you using wireless?
2. In either case please open control panel - Device manager - click the arrow next to network adapters to expand and let us now if there are any exclamation points next to any of the entries there.
3. Are you using Windows XP or other version of windows?
HI JOSETHANKS for replying ,i have windows xp,,i have direct line from modem to back
of computer. I opened up device mamager and network adapter is not listed I had another person suggest i run the reiinstallation cd again , thanks JER

Hi NANTICOKE,
If you have an operating system installation disk for the Dell 2400, you probably also received several "Driver and Utilities" disks as well. The driver you need may be on one of those.
