I need the direct number for the department that handles collections/charged off accounts. My account from years ago was previously benign handled by a third-party collections agency but has since been returned to Verizon. When I called the main number the prompts take me nowhere since I don’t have a current account with information to reference. If someone can please provide me with a direct number for whichever department I can directly contact for this issue, that would be greatly appreciated.

Verizon Fios placed an account that I canceled within 30days money-back period. I ordered internet-only (self-installed) with no contact on about March 2018, I cancel the same day because I could not get it to work. They sent out a tech w/o my request since I cancel. When I started to receive billing notices, I contacted them several times to remind them that I cancel. Over the phone and via there chat support app, they assured me that it was resolved to give a month to update. I moved, and for a while did not hear anything. Now, I am looking at my credit report to prepare to buy a house in the future and notice that they have a collection against me in my credit report. I did some research online and found that a lot of former customers have similar or same issues with Verizon Fios.
I plan to call today to try and resolve, but if they don't help, what can I do? The collection charge is $99.
