Hi
I am from henrico, Virginia. I just placed my fios internet plan 39.xx order. I am planning to buy my own router. Currently i am connected to xfinity through coaxial cable.
After some research I found that this following router on amazon is Fios compatible.
https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AC1750-Smart-WiFi-Router/dp/B079JD7F7G/
But I noticed it doesn't have any Coaxial port. Does that mean Verizon Fios doesnt use Coxial port ? If answer is yes and I buy the router above I will be just fine ?
thanks in advance
Short answer, yes. You should be able to use your own router - just make sure during installation that you have an 'ethernet' connection from your ONT to the router. I would also have the tech setup with the VZ router first, and then swap it out for your own router.
