I am moving to a home with a verizon wireless router set up for two laptops. Can I connect my desktop to the router by wire ? I think ethernet cable. If so, can anyone tell me what type of ethernet cable to use .
Hi, in the back of the Verizon FiOS routers are 4 ethernet ports. A simple cat 5 cross over or straight cable will work. The Router can auto sense and adjust.

You will plug one end in your PC and one end in to any numbered LAN port (they are number 1-4)
default PC configurations will immediately connect.
