Connecting to netflix

I have good wireless connection to my laptop but my blueray wireless is having trouble picking up netflix streaming.  I have an older westall versalink router with a damaged antenna.  my daughter suggested the signal strength isn't strong enough.  the router is plugged in downstairs while the blueray is upstairs.  any suggestions are appreciated.

If the antenna is broken, that's certainly something to consider, but if it's still connected it should be working fine still. See how the laptop runs Netflix in the same room the Blu-Ray player is in, maybe in the same location.

Also, consider running a speed test. SD on Netflix requires at least 1Mbps to play smoothly. If the Blu-Ray player shows you information on signal strength, can run speed tests, and so on that's worth doing.
