Since Saturday my connection has been dropping whenever I do simple things like open two pages at once or try to watch a YouTube video. Sometimes I have luck and can do things for a while, but eventually the connection drops completely and I have to wait a few minutes for it to come back up.
This is the log from my router when it drops.

Please help.
#1 You are making me/us helpers shoot into the dark!
#2 It would help to know at least:
a) What is the brand and model of your broadband modem?
b) If you have a separate router: What is the model of your RJ-45 WAN port router?
#3 While I am waiting your answers, here are the answers to my own questions (based upon for the equipment that I have).
a) Motorola SB6141 - cable modem.
b) Linksys E4200 (hardware) ver 1.
-> Last time when I was on Verizon DSL, I was using the Actiontec GT784WNW.
Sorry about leaving you in the dark, I wasn't sure what type of stuff you guys would need.
I'm using a D-Link DSL-2750B router.
That log is suggesting that the modem is losing sync with the equipment on Verizon's end.
If you have a landline, do you observe any issues with it, or have any unknown noises like static or buzzing on it? Any issues with speed on the DSL, or making calls on the landline if you have one?
I have actually been having a better quality connection than I have had in quite a long time, aside from the disconnects. As far as the phone line goes, there is nothing unusual with it.
I have noticed a pattern with the disconnects, whenever I am in my router and see this:
|
I get disconnected more frequently the higher the Upstream is, but over the weekend I had 0.4 Upstream and didn't disconnect once. For some reason it definitely looks like it is linked to my Upload, I hope this helps.
Can someone tell me how I can go about fixing this? I've been sitting here for over an hour with it disconnecting everytime I try to open a page and hoping that it reconnects me with a lower upstream, with no luck yet.
Could I ask someone to throttle my upload until we figure out why it keeps disconnecting me?
If you are having an issue with your Verizon service, you can use the Verizon Troubleshooter to fix and report issues with your Verizon Phone, FiOS TV, or Internet Service, as well as to schedule a repair, here is the link:

You can find tools on the Verizon Residential Support page that may help you diagnose your issue:

DSL/PPPoE 3.4 Mbps Downstream 0.9 Mbps Upstream I get disconnected more frequently the higher the Upstream is, but over the weekend I had 0.4 Upstream and didn't disconnect once. For some reason it definitely looks like it is linked to my Upload, I hope this helps.
Do you have phone service? The upstream frequences on DSL are very close to the POTS Telephone frequencies. If you're getting interference on the upstream and the speed is not staying consistent, there's a good chance you may have a bad filter, or you'll hear noise on the line whenever the upstream is being affected.
It wouldn't hurt for the sake of troubleshooting to first get something called a "HomeRun" installed. This is a dedicated line between the Telco Demarc/NID and the modem. Such setups help to rule out wiring issues in the house, and will filter the DSL service at the point of entry, eliminating the need for DSL filters in the home. Something to consider first.
