Creating an Account to change settings on Westell VersaLink 327W gateway -

I read the router manual so I tried to access the IP address given in the manual to change a couple of settings but the first thing I got was an access control box asking me for my User ID and password. Obviously I tried my Verizon account information but it didn't work. So I want to know if anyone has ever been able to access their Router's provider website to change the settings on their gateway? I've a Westell Versalink 327W Gateway. It works great but  I need to change some settings. Does anyone happen to know how to do this without accessing the Westell website?

The Username and Password for the 327w routers are generally one of the following:

admin/password
admin/password1
admin/admin
admin/admin1


If you cannot figure out what it is, resetting the 327w to Factory Defaults using the reset button will change the password back to admin/password.
