DNS Issues Again for URL Resolution AND VPN Client Access

At least two months ago it became appaent something changes in the FIOS CO. Internet URL performance was SLOW and connecting to our comoany VPN (Arcot client) went from seconds to over 5 minutes .. This happened to ALL co-workers in NJ and in MA. Substituting Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) resolves the issue sand URL performance is FAST and the VPN connections is 5 seconds or less. I opened a "ticket" to FIOS support and took 10 + days to "resolce"..

The IP information I was getting pointed to a strange UK DNS re-direct hack of some sorts.

Last week the problem returned (for NJ and other states). Same symptoms and using Google DNS resolves the speed and connections issues. That UK DNS hack IP does not appear this time.

Is there anybody home at the Verizon data networking depatment ?

typically when you use a VPN everything changes often including DNS.  Almost everything is changed to go throuth your VPN connection before trying to find a route to the rest of the world.
