DNS up/down this last week

Hi,

     Anyone else having this problem?

    Our DNS seems to be up/down, starting the last week of February 2015.

    E.g., "nslookup www.google.com" or "traceroute www.google.com" just hangs until it times out, but "traceroute -n 216.58.216.4" works.

    Our /etc/resolv.conf shows

domain ftrdhcpuser.net
nameserver 192.168.1.1
nameserver 184.16.33.54

    We noticed it was out on Feb-23, then it was working again a few days later, then since Friday it's been down.
