We have Verizon DSL and my son has an Xbox which he is trying to connect with his friends up the road to play on XBox LIVE. He called XBox and they told him that because we are on the same DSL nodes that they can not connect to each other. Does anyone know of a solution to this?
This isn't a thing unless Verizon is rolling out Carrier-grade NAT (please don't).
Please run the Xbox Live Connection Test and tell us what kind of NAT is being reported back. This will be either Open NAT, Moderate NAT, or Strict NAT.
