DSL Westall 7500 Help

Hello, Here is a brief review of what I'm dealing with. After a power loss, my browser kept coming back to wanting me to activate my DSL. Now obviously it's already been done since I've had verizon dsl for years. I've tried turning the router off and on but that didn't fix my issue. I reset the router and now I have no Internet access. All the lights on router light up except the Internet light. What can I do to get my Internet access back? I've tried using my in home agent but it's been no help.

If you run a cable from the 7500 to your computer's network jack are you able to connect to the internet? If the answer is yes you may need to setup wireless access again on the router. If you use any new setttings be sure that they are entered on your computer's wireless network and adapter settings

If none of this helps, please login to the router and post a screen shot of your transceiver stats.

Reset the router again and leave it off for a few minutes once it finishes booting from the reset. Power the router back on and allow it to boot. From that point, visit http://192.168.1.1/ and log into the page using the username of admin, the password of password. Change the password on the modem and then check to see if the Internet light is lit on the modem.

If it is, then great! We just have to disable the Walled Garden. If not, then we've got some more work to try doing.

To shut off the walled garden, visit http://192.168.1.1/verizon/redirect.htm and log into the modem using the username of admin and the new password you've set. Once logged in, press the Disable button on the page. See if the Internet is working from that point without an activation page.

If nothing is working, we'll need to try setting up the PPP connection again. Unless your area uses DHCP (basically, most Verizon properties out West that haven't been sold to Frontier already), we will need to use a Username and Password. This would be the user/pass associated with your Master Verizon account (might be the same as your e-mail). Log into the modem at http://192.168.1.1/ and click on My Network in the top navigation. Choose "Network Connections" from the left hand side navigation and then press the yellow and blue edit button next to the "DSL Connection" entry in the list. In the DSL connection settings at the top of the page, you should see account profiles listed there to connect with. Choose the profile which should be called "newdsl" or have that set as the username and edit it. The username will be your Master Account username, and the Password will be the password for the Master Account. Connection name can remain the same. Connection is Always on. Save, apply, and then re-visit the Network Connections page and try manually connecting the modem.

If you don't have any luck, try calling Verizon. The reps are pretty good with walking you through with manually configuring the modem for login.
