DSL at home no longer connects at all.

DSL connection issues.  Cant connect at home.  I get a flashing RED  Ready ligh - the LINK and ACTIVITY lighs are ont.   Modem is an old Westerl  (even has Bell Atlantic on it)   Model B90-36R515-01.  Even tried plugging the modem directly into the customer side of the gray service box on the side of the house - same result.  Normal phone service works fine, just no DSL connection.  Even tried unplugging the phone. Still nothing.  The outside  service box is close to 20 years old

Problems started on Monday when my Verizon password somehow no longer worked and I could not SEND EMAIL but only receive email.   So some tech in India (im guessing since it was in the evening and he had a thick Indian accent) had me put in a new password and then I could send EMAIL.   Then when I tried connecting yesterday for the 1st time since then nothing works.   

I guess Im going to have to call to have them replace it and if that isnt the problem I guess Im swtiching to COMCAST
