I live in Queens, NY. I've lost internet connectivity about 50 times
per day between 8:00am to 9:00pm since March. It happens only
these 13 hours. I called the customer service in March.
It was fixed by the inside work of Verizon 10 days ago but it's
happened again from yesterday (4/17). I use the modem Westell 6100.
Does anyone have same problem?
Transceiver statistics and log
If you have access to a NID, plug your modem into your NID and post up the new Statistics. Here's what a NID looks like. http://www.dslreports.com/faq/1317
Thank you for your response. I can not access to a NID.
If it's problem about NID, why DSL dropping happens only
busy hour (8:00am to 9:00pm).
Upon reflection, Check to see that the modems connection profile is set to Always on
What's is the modem connection profile? Is it in http://192.168.1.1 ?
I place my modem side of my keybord, so I can always see the modem.
When the modem drops connection, modem's DSL light starts blinking
and Internet light's gone out. After waiting a few minutes, DSL light becomes
steady and Internet light becomes on, then connection comes back.
The modem's 3 lights (power, DSL, ethernet) never gone out, when the
connection has lost. I don't see red light.
Your DSL line seems to be having an issue with maintaining sync, hence the drops you are seeing. You seem to be on the 1.5Mbps provisioning rate, which should be at 1792kbps downstream, 448kbps upstream.
If you have Voice service with Verizon, do you hear things such as static, humming, or buzzing while on the phone?
