DSL goes down intermittently
Coolness
Newbie

Hi, I've been trying to open a repair ticket through the Verizon support website. However, I have found no way to open a new repair ticket.  I have no phone service at the moment and the connection is too unreliable to chat online with support.

The problems began a couple of months ago when the DSL started to randomly cut off. It wasn't too noticeable at first, but it began growing worse as winter rolled along. Recently we've had a few rainstorms come through the area and the Internet was out for hours at a time. When the problems arises, the DSL light blinks green but it doesn't establish a connection or the connection only lasts for a couple minutes before it loses the signal again. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

The site you're using to request a repair is https://verizon.com/repair/ correct?

If you have a neighbor with a working phone line, you might want to consider borrowing their phone line and using that to make a repair ticket. Just make sure before you call Verizon down that you check your phone or DSL service at the Telephone company NID. Most NIDs have test jacks which allow you to easily plug in a line device for testing. If there is a problem in your home, Verizon will bill you for any repairs made inside. If it is out however at the NID then it's on Verizon's time and dollar.

See this FAQ for more information on a NID. You only need a flathead screwdriver to open it up as you do not need to access the telco access portion.
