Does anyone still use eMule? If so, can you help me?

I have forwarding thru to eMule but with "LowID".  I suspect that a value somewhere is wrong.  Original Port, Forward to Address and Forward to Port are the only variables that can be wrong.  What exact values should this be?  Thanks

Does eMule use UPnP to open ports? If so, G3100 would block UPnP that uses legacy or insecure protocols.

Are you able to migrate to a modern file sharing implementation? For instance, Samba.

Also, keep in mind that P2P file sharing with other users who are not members of your household may be a violation of Fios service agreement.

But that is Windows/Mac, Unix/Linux/BSD, file and print sharing - which uses insecure ports by default.

For good reason.

It would be better to forward manually.

To OP:

Application = any name that you want to use - for your own reference only.

For the port fields, the same port that eMule is set to use.

If eMule is set to use a random port each time, disable that feature so that it uses the same port each time.

For the IP Address. Need to forward to the LAN IP of your computer.

As how to find the current IP Address that depends on the OS and version. Ex for most moderm versions of Windows: Go to Start -> Type in cmd and press enter -> Type in ipconfig /all and press enter. If you have more than one NIC, #1 Ignore all NICs that are not connected (Media disconnected) #2 pay attention to what NIC has the Default Gateway.

@dslr595148  Thanks for this explanation.  I have the PC address as 192.168.1.151, so that's good.  Let's say I create the UDP and TCP ports within the program as 5100 and 5200 respectively, that still leaves filling in a number for the "original port" ... what would that be?

Not sure but if possible leave it blank, and if not possible to leave blank set to 5100.

Please keep in mind this is my educated guess as I have never have/had any of the FIOS NAT routers to play/work with.

Original port would be referred to as Source port. If you're trying to seed files with file sharing software, peers need to connect to you. They'll reach you at a fixed port but the port they communicate from will be dynamic (constantly changing). The "Source" port or "Origin" port should be "Any" while the Destination port (the port on your PC) should be 5100 and/or 5200. Set TCP, UDP, or both, according to what protocol your software uses. Some Peer to Peer software (uTorrent specifically) uses both. All should support the TCP protocol. For this, you'll need to check to see what your client is configured to use and on what ports.

If that is what I think it means, I believe you must type in 5100-5200.
