Just got fios and I am generally happy so far. I've noticed that the download speed according to all tests that I've done (verizon's test, Ookla test, etc) all show that download speed is less than upload - generally like 500-700mps for download and upload consistently in the 800-900 range. Regardless of the speed reported, the download is always less than the upload in the same testing session. I don't have other apps/bandwidth consumers running at the same time.
This surprised me and was wondering what others thought? Is this unusual?
Call 1-800-VERIZON tell them to provision you correctly.
verizon states “up to 940/880” and they only accept their own speed test and no others. And only on direct connection to the router and NO WIFI
I think everything is ok actually. Just did a test on the verizon site and got this
