Have always had very very bad throughput. I've checked everthing. Recently upgraded to High Speed Internet Enhanced 1.1 to 3 Mbps and it's slower than ever. Do I have any other options and how do I downgrade to where I was before
#1 Visit http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html and post up the Traceroute the page shows, if you wish. Be aware that the final hop (bottom-most line of the trace) might contain a hop with your IP address in it. Remove that line. What I'm looking for is a line that mentions "ERX" in it's name towards the end. If for some reason the trace does not complete (two lines full of Stars), keep the trace route intact.
#2 Can you provide the Transceiver Statistics from your modem?
#3 If you don't how to get that info from the modem:
a) It would help tp know the brand and model of your modem.
b) If a RJ-45 WAN port router that is connected to the dsl modem, what is the brand and model of the DSL modem?

The modem is a Westell A90 7500
If you can direct me to the info I will try to find the tranceiver statistics
No RJ 45 WAN port router
Found this as the last line in a second traceroute:
11 G4-0.NYCMNY-WHPLNYWP-ERXG05.verizon-gni.net (130.81.197.205) 92 ms G2-0.NYCMNY-WHPLNYWP-ERXG05.verizon-gni.net (130.81.197.207) 92 ms 91 ms
Ok.
@designofc wrote:No RJ 45 WAN port router
You said that but in your case, you meant to say:
No other RJ-45 WAN port router other than the Westell 7500, because the RJ-45 LAN port Uplink/E1 of the Westell 7500 can be reconfigured to act as the RJ-45 WAN port - and that port is not configured to act as the WAN port.
OR if that word for word what I said, then the general drift of what I suspect you meant to say.
Moving along. 🙂

Visit http://192.168.1.1 for me and do the following:
1: If you see a Blue and White Westell page, mouse over Troubleshooting, go to DSL, and choose Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.
2: If you see a Red and Black Westell page: Go to System Monitoring -> Advanced Monitors -> Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.
3: Try visiting http://192.168.1.1/transtat.htm which is a direct link to the Stats on older modems.
If you need a Username and Password, try the following:
admin/password
admin/password1
admin/admin
admin/admin1
admin/Serial Number.
* By Serial Number, I don't mean type in the words Serial Number. I mean find and type in the serial number found on the bottom of this router.
