Fios Gigabit 2.4ghz

Hello guys,

i do a speed test on speedtest.net and I get 30-40 mbps on the 2.4ghz on an iPhone X. I am 5 feet away from the G1100 router. Why am I getting so low speed or is this normal for gigabit connection on the 2.4ghz signal?

The speeds on that router aren't that great. Your speeds do sound a little low. Try using a couple different servers rather then the one auto selected. Not all the server on that site have good tests. 

Connect to the 5GHz instead and you will get much better speed. You probably won't get much more than 75 mbps on 2.4 GHz.

5 GHz will give higher speeds but less range and 2.4 GHz will give better range but lower speeds.
