It’s like a kick in the face to have to keep listening to the hype of fios when it’s not available in our area, and we have to settle for the slow internet at the same price

Yes its a good product. However verizon has stated it was not building out in certain areas if at all. The trouble here is in certain markets cable is the dominant provider. So unless there are thousands asking for it the fios may never get there.
