Fios service below target

I have been having issues in the Baltimore metro area for almost a week now. The speed goes from just about 50mbps to 6mbps then back again. Anyone else having a similar issue? The live outage map looks the exact same as it has everyday that I've looked at it.

You don’t say what speed you are paying for.

it sounds like the service is not provisioned properly. If I assume you are at 50/50 and it’s via MOCA (coaxial) there may be a loose connection at the ONT or router or any other switch or junction that is connected.

There could be a coaxial that is being crushed or crimped. Or a bad connection on the pole or any point along the way to your home.

or like I said your provisioning may not be correct.

call 1-800-VERIZON and have them troubleshoot.

speed test over WiFi is not accepted for speed only direct connection.

How are you measuring speed?

Are you using wired connection to speedtest.verizon.net?

If not, could be wifi or other network issue.
