G1000 and WCB6200 and how to bypass the coax cap on G1000 - getting dropped packets

Hi all. 

I believe the G1000 has a coax cap of 500mbps for the MoCa network.

In attempting to bypass the coax cap, I am bringing in a ECBM5240 and connecting it to the G1000 via ethernet and then using the ECBM5240 Coax to drive more bandwidth.

One thing I'm noticing is that when i have the ECBM5240 on the network, I am getting connection issues with dropped packets on my network. Essentially every 45-60 seconds, I get 3 dropped packets. I tested this via wired ethernet directly to the various WCB6200Q I have on the MoCa network.

This is what I see when I ping Bing.com via a command prompt:

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 5ms, Maximum = 14ms, Average = 8ms

If I let the results run for hours, i see the 3 "Request timed out" happen over and over every minute. It makes it impossible to maintain a Zoom, Team, or Hangouts call stable. 

The current config I have is the following:

OTN ----ethernet----G1000 ----ethernet----ECBM5240 ----coax---- WCB6200Q (5 devices)

Any thoughts of what could be causing this?

Is the G1100 still connected to the same Coax network as your ECBM5240? It sounds like you may have a loop and the router is running Spanning Tree to disable one network interface and enable the other. Make sure Coax LAN is disabled on the G1100 or, just unplug the Coax all together from it if you're not using it.

I haven’t tried that - is there a limit? I’m away, but will return on Sunday and will test it out.
