I am scheduled for an upgrade to gigabit service on January 3, 2018. I presently hve 75/75 with the Triple Play.
My question is: What category cable will the technician use? Will it be Cat5 or cat5e or will it be Cat6?
Ideally I would want it to be as "future proof as possible. I know cat7 is availabale, but that would probably be too much to ask for.
Thanks in advance for your attention to my question
The techs were using 5e on their installs. If they have 6 they would use it.
cat 7 is hype to get more money out of your pocket. From what I read online it has not been certified or approved as of yet.
don’t worry just enjoy the new service
