Got Offered A Great Deal

Was on chat yesterday talking about upgrading internet speed from 75/75 to 100/100 for $119.99/month. Was offered a free Quantum Gateway modem if I signed up right away. Was quoted the new monthly price with fees and taxes and it was $14 month higher than my current package. Also a $98 upgrade fee. The rental on a Quantum is $12 month if you just order one for your home (or buy for $199). So either the 100/100 has a few $$ tacked on or I was getting the free router for $14 month.

Verizon has a deal on gigabyte for $79.99 internet. But for new customers.

so you could call and threaten to leave. Make sure you can do so first. And Verizon may try to retain you. However if you leave for 30-60 days Verizon will offer you new customer pricing. Something to think about.
