The BBU in My Apartment Clost keeps beeping since the battery is dead. I do not have a landline only cable and internet services.
I was told by Verizon the Beeping should stop if I remove the battery completly...Nope....
I hold down the Alarm silence button and still nothing
I hold down both the Emergency button and the alarm silence button and still beeping
I do not want to buy a 50 dollar battery for a service i do not use.....
Anyone have any other ideas??
Different BBU models behave differently. Your best bet is to call back up and tell them to send a tech to install a Power Adapter which doesn’t have the battery.
This is no charge as it is Verizon equipment. And you won’t get anymore beeping or have to replace the battery.
Try looking here to see if there is anything that might help:

After removing the battery, did you try disconnecting power to reset unit?
