Have Fios 3100 and Fios extender, can I add a non Fios extender?

I have Fios wit a 3100 router, and matching extender at the opposite end of the house. I have a front doorbell camera that needs its own extender - any issue with using some other extender with the 3100? Would be a typical fully wireless (except for AC power) extender.
