Ok so I bridged it, and currently mine uses a PPoE connection however, whenever I turn on my computer and try to connect to my router it says no internet connection..... Usually I have to wait about 15-30 minutes to get it or I don't get it at all.

As of now, something new and strange is happening..... the modem dsl is just flashing and the phone lines is scribbly... What the heck is going on?

In the Westell while it is not in bridge mode go to System Monitoring -> Advanced -> Transceiver Statistics.

And post the results..

You have different options of getting into the modem while it is in bridge mode, let us do the method that you tried to do...

#1 You setup your computer to use the follow settings..

IP: 192.168.1.3

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

As how to do that, there are different sites about it.

a) One of them is go to http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

b) Select your OS, and follow the directions for setting a Static IP.

#2 Then with your web browser go to 192.168.1.1 and log-in as need be.

#3 When done getting the info from the modem while it is in bridge mode:

a) Disconnect your computer from the modem.

b) Set the comptuer back to the settings that it was set to use. This most likely, was DHCP.

c) Reconnect your computer, behind your other router.

For other method(s): I point to http://www.dslreports.com/faq/7267

I know that your other router is not a Linksys, but the Recommend and the Alternate method will work - with the expection of -

If the WAN Connection type is DHCP, then access to the modem should be possible without changing the settings in the router when the Internet is in an "up" state.
